Suzuyaki is a kind of sueki, gray colored unglazed earthenware produced in Suzu during mid-Heian to Muromachi area. The subtle and profound beauty is said to be compared to ones of Japan’s six famed kilns. Our treasure is a jar produced by about 1400.
Our inn retains the charming atmosphere of traditional Japanese architecture and is not equipped for barrier-free access. Elderly guests or those with mobility difficulties may find the stairs and other features challenging.
Surrounding our inn, you will find nostalgic Japanese scenery, and opening the windows may allow insects to enter.
